Born on December 2, 2002, Mieka was quick to grow into a promising youngster and, during her first year, won a "Best Puppy in Group" at 8 months, followed with a Working Certificate.

Petite and charming, it is with ease that our happy tail-wagging girl became a Canadian and American Show Champion. With her excellent structure, she represents the breed well, her type reminding us of the earlier Flat-Coat.

Mieka is no doubt my huntress "par excellence". With her spunk, drive and will to please, combined with natural hunting abilities, she quickly picked up several hunting titles as well as a Judge's Award of Merit (JAM) in the “Steady Singles” field event at the 2006 FCRSA National Specialty.

She's sweetness all through. So caring and patient with children and each and every dog she meets, her nurturing motherly side ever-present. Abounding in endless energy although now a "veteran", she's always eager to race for retrieves in the field or in the water and is not to be outdone by the young ones.
